The Wylie Band Booster Club is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code for the purpose of promoting the interests of music education within the Wylie Independent School District, Wylie, TX, USA.

  • November 11,2008 - Meeting on 2 Tuesday due to state marching contest on November 4th.

  • February 3, 2009 - Officer nominations for 2009-2010

  • May 5, 2009 - Officer nominations for 2009-2010

  • April 7, 2009 - Officer elections for 2009-2010

  • May 5, 2009 - Budget approval for 2009-2010

All meetings are held in the WHS Band Hall and begin at 7:30pm

The Booster Club funds support all levels of band education in Wylie ISD including private lesson assistance, summer band camp scholarships, graduating senior scholarships and special purchase allocations for each school which go toward equipment and other instructional materials throughout the year.


Booster Club Bylaws

These are some of the major purchases that were made by the Band Boosters in the past:

  • $5000.00 for private lessons (intermediate & junior high schools)
  • $3600.00 for Summer Camp scholarships (intermediate & junior high schools)
  • $3400.00 for special purchases (intermediate & junior high schools)
  • $2206.00 DVD recorder for Band Program
  • $1485.00 for chime stand (high school band)
  • $1000.00 Edward Thomas Scholarship awarded to a graduating senior
  • $2599.00 for Mac Computer (band program)
  • $4640.00 for Charms software (band program) 
  • $1255.00 for band concert uniforms (high school band)
